Four-star 2026 Miami wide receiver commit Somourian Wingo told Rivals' South Florida Recruiting Analyst Marcus Benjamin, "I wanted to make it clear that I'm not interested in anyone else," and that he is shutting down his recruitment.

Wingo committed to the Hurricanes in July after taking official visits to Florida, Miami and South Carolina. Rivals ranks Wingo as the 99th prospect, 11th WR and 12th player in Florida in the 2026 class in their industry composite.

Wingo is the second-highest rated prospect in the 2026 Miami class behind five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell. Miami also has commitments from four-star prospect Vance Wafford, who is the third-highest rated Miami commit and three-star Tyran Evans in the 2026 class.

In two-plus seasons for St. Augustine, Wingo has 112 receptions for 1,927 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns per MaxPreps. At 6'3 and 180 pounds, Wingo will provide Miami with another big receiver on the roster entering the 2026 season.

Miami also has 6'2 sophomore Chance Robinson and 6'4 freshman Joshua Moore at WR. Evans at 6'3, Moore, Robinson and Wingo will provide Miami with three big red zone targets at WR entering the 2026 season. Miami should have one of the better WR classes in 2026 with Evans, Spafford and Wingo.

This is the second time this month that Wingo has reaffirmed his commitment to Miami. Wingo previously stated, "It's real! I'm locked in with the U and !!" emojis in a repost from Hayes Fawcett from Rivals.

The 2026 Miami class is currently 12th nationally and first in the ACC in the Rivals Industry Ranking football Team Recruiting Rankings. Miami wide receivers coach Kevin Beard is the primary recruiter for Wingo. Miami will lose C.J. Daniels, Tony Johnson and Keelan Marion at WR after the 2026 season.

Miami should have a deep receiver corps in 2026, with Malachi Toney, JoJo Trader, Robinson, RayRay Joseph, Ny Carr and Daylyn Upshaw with eligibility remaining in addition to Evans, Spafford and Wingo coming in next season.
