Four-star defensive lineman Prince Che has narrowed his recruitment to seven schools: Texas A&M, LSU, Florida, Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas and Miami.

4-star DL Prince Che trims recruitment to 7 schools
Che, a 6-foot-3, 305-pound junior from Georgia, ranks as the No. 19 overall prospect and No. 3 defensive lineman in the 2028 cycle in the Rivals Industry Ranking. He is also the No. 2 junior in Georgia. The latest cut left Florida State and Georgia Tech off the board after Che had already seen both programs earlier this season.
He produced 48 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and four sacks as a sophomore and has 15 tackles this fall. Thomas County Central is 3-0 and ranked No. 15 nationally and No. 3 in Georgia in the Rivals composite team rankings.
Che has said fall visits will weigh heavily because he wants to see the people he would spend the next several years with and find a place that feels like home.
How some of the schools are stacking up in his recruitment
- Che was in Baton Rouge earlier this month for the start of the Lane Kiffin era and came away more interested after seeing the coaches and roster up close. That trip was part of a compressed stretch in which Che packed several game days into 10 days.
- Gainesville's proximity to South Georgia gives Florida a geographic advantage that several of the more distant SEC programs do not share.
- Georgia's defensive line coach, Tray Scott, was in the stands Friday night to watch Che play for Thomas County Central.
- Texas hosted Che over the weekend and for their comeback win over Ohio State. That win could go a long way for the Longhorns. It is something that could stick with a young prospect as their recruitment moves forward.
