4-star EDGE includes Miami in top 10 schools with one more cut down to follow

Four-star EDGE Keoni Snipes, a 6-foot-6, 250-pound edge from Alabama, is ranked as a top recruit in the 2028 Rivals Industry Rankings.

He has now trimmed his list of schools to 10 (with plans to cut it down to five later in the process): Georgia, Texas, Miami, Florida, Texas A&M, Oregon, Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma and Alabama.

4-star EDGE Keoni Snipes is down to 10 schools

As a sophomore in 2025, Snipes logged 30 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in 14 games. His best game that season came against Baldwin County, when he produced a then-career-high eight tackles, three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

Through five games in 2026, Snipes has put up 22 total tackles, 11 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, three quarterback hurries and one fumble recovery. His 4.5 sacks put him No. 1 in Alabama Class 5A Region 1 in sacks.

Snipes has been on a tear this year, so he's got plenty of tape to highlight. Against Theodore, Snipes recorded three tackles and 2 sacks in a 59-9 win. Against Baldwin County, he had five tackles and a quarterback hurry. Against Pell City last week, he finished with three tackles, a half-sack and a fumble recovery in Saraland's 68-10 win.

ESPN ranks Snipes No. 66 nationally, No. 13 at edge and No. 4 in Alabama. 247Sports has him No. 71 overall, No. 14 among edges and No. 2 in the state. Rivals ranks him No. 199 nationally, No. 20 at the position and No. 12 in Alabama.

Texas picked up extra interest from Snipes after JaBarrius Garror committed there on June 12. Garror is a 2027 four-star EDGE from Vigor High in Mobile, about 15 minutes from Saraland.

He chose Texas over Georgia, Auburn and Florida State after an official visit to Austin (he was previously committed to Alabama). ESPN ranks him No. 49 nationally, No. 4 at outside linebacker and No. 1 in Alabama. As a junior at Vigor, Garror logged 106 tackles and 21 sacks.

  • Auburn: Florida 44, Auburn 39 on Sept. 19 at Jordan-Hare Stadium
  • LSU: LSU 35, Texas A&M 6 on Sept. 26 at Tiger Stadium
  • Texas: vs. Ole Miss on Oct. 24 at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium
  • Oklahoma: vs. South Carolina on Oct. 31 in Norman
