Edge-rusher Hayden Lowe is the top-ranked signee in the 2025 Miami Hurricanes class, the 164th-ranked player nationally and the youngest prospect among incoming freshmen competing at the Navy All-American Bowl. Lowe was named the Alpha Dog on the second day of practice at the Navy All-American Bowl by 247Sports on Wednesday.
Lowe reportedly used his athleticism and sturdiness against the run during the second day of practice at the Navy All-American Bowl. At 6-5 and 250 pounds, Lowe has excellent length for an edge-rusher. Gabe Brooks, a 247Sports national scouting analyst, also named Lowe a 2025 Navy All-American Bowl: All-Lobby Team on Monday.
Lowe had 159 tackles, 42 TFLs, 24.5 sacks, 29 QB hurries, two interceptions, four passes defended, five forced fumbles and one fumble recovery during his career at Oaks Christian in California. Lowe had his best season in 2024 with 59 tackles, 18.0 TFLs, 16 sacks and 12 quarterback hurries.

4-star Miami signee Hayden Lowe is making a big splash at the Navy All-American Bowl
Lowe is one of three edge-rushers Miami signed in the 2025 class. Miami also signed four-star edge-rusher Herbert Scroggins and three-star Mykah Newton in the 2025 class. Lowe should have an opportunity to start for Miami with Elijah Alston and Tyler Baron completing their eligibility.

Miami returns Rueben Bain and Malik Bryant and expects Akheem Mesidor back in 2025 from the edge-rushers who were in the 2024 rotation. Blue Chip 2024 signees Armondo Blount, Marquise Lightfoot, Booker Pickett Jr., Elias Rudolph and three-star Cole McConathy also return for Miami in 2024 at the position.
Charles Power of On3 praised Lowe for another outstanding day on Thursday during the third day of practice. Power stated Lowe excelled in both drills and live action. Lowe was frequently able to blow up plays according to Power. Miami will have an exceptionally deep group of edge-rushers in 2025.
