A look at Caleb Gaskins' career so far
On the 2025 Nike EYBL circuit with Nightrydas, Gaskins averaged 16.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
The high-school resume is equally impressive. As a junior, Gaskins averaged 13.6 points and 6.3 rebounds for a 30-3 Columbus team that finished No. 1 nationally, winning Florida's Class 7A title and the Chipotle Nationals. Columbus' 2024-25 team featured elite talent across the lineup, and Gaskins' production held in a balanced, title-level rotation. That Columbus team featured the likes of the Boozer twins, both of which signed with Duke and are currently freshman, as well as Jaxon Richardson, the son of former 2x NBA Slam Dunk Contest Champion Jason Richardson. Jaxon Richardson is listed as a 5-star according 247's Composite Rating and is ranked as the No. 4 player in the state of Florida per the same rating.
Playing at Columbus — a team that was ranked No. 1 in the nation — along with his production, has helped place him in the top tier of the 2026 rankings.
Miami's connection to Caleb Gaskins
The Hurricanes aren't just Gaskins' hometown team, Miami has a connection with him through its coaching staff.
Miami assistant Andrew Moran — hired by Jai Lucas in April — was Gaskins' head coach at Christopher Columbus and also coached him on Nightrydas Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit. Moran won 2025 Naismith National HS Coach of the Year after leading Columbus to multiple state titles and a national No. 1 finish.
