DL Kellan Hall is down to 12 programs
The 6-foot-5, 270-pound five-star has a final group of schools that includes:
- Oklahoma
- Ohio State
- Michigan
- Tennessee
- Georgia
- Texas A&M
- LSU
- Miami
- Notre Dame
- Texas
- Oregon
- Kentucky
As a sophomore in 2025 he posted 53 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks while helping his high school squad go 15-0 and capture the Kentucky state championship.
Pulling Hall away from his hometown college will be a tall task for any program, but the list he announced is full of elite programs, and every single one of them has the recruiting prowess to lure him away from home.
Miami's defensive line has defined its success in the Mario Cristobal era
There is still a lot of time before he will end up making his commitment, so let's focus on what Miami has going on in its 2027 class.
The Canes have made some serious noise in the Mario Cristobal era on the offensive and defensive lines, but last season really saw Miami turn it up a notch. The success of Rueben Bain and Akheem Mesidor is what catches the eyes of most, but it is really the depth that has separated Miami from most programs in college football.
The 2026 team projects to be dominant once again on the defensive front with multiple players who could end up being first round draft picks. Ahmad Moten Sr. and Justin Scott are both players who have been mocked in the first round of the 2027 NFL draft by Bleacher Report. Damon Wilson, a transfer from Missouri, will presumably garner NFL interest as well, depending on how the depth chart shakes out.
