This sure is big for the Miami Hurricanes and Mario Cristobal. This spring, five-star Ohio State wide receiver commit Chris Henry Jr. will take an official visit to Miami the weekend of May 30 to June 1 per Hayes Fawcett of On3. Henry Jr. is the No. 6 overall prospect, No. 2 WR and top player in California in the 2026 class per the On3 Industry Rankings.

USC, Oregon, and Ohio State will also host Henry Jr. for official visits in June. In June 2022, Henry Jr. made one unofficial visit to Miami. Among the teams with official visits scheduled, Henry Jr. has made six unofficial visits to Ohio State, four to USC, and four to Oregon.

On3 lists Ohio State as the favorite to sign Henry Jr. at 30.8 percent. West Virginia, who has hosted Henry Jr. twice but is not scheduled for an official visit, is the second favorite by On3 at 18.2 percent. At this point with Miami, Ohio State, Oregon and USC having official visits, West Virginia seems like a long shot for a Henry Jr. commitment.

The only crystal ball prediction from 247Sports for Henry Jr. to Ohio State was made in November 2022, and he committed to the Buckeyes on July 28, 2023. Ohio State WRs coach Brian Hartline, who was the co-offensive coordinator in 2024, will return to being solely in charge of the Buckeyes offense in 2025.
