No Miami players were selected in the 2025 NBA Draft, but the Hurricanes had seven alums participate in the Las Vegas Summer League. Centers Lynn Kidd and Norchad Omier, forwards Matthew Cleveland and Jordan Miller and guards Kyshawn George and Woogla Poplar and Isaiah Wong all played in Las Vegas.

George and Miller are on NBA rosters and played in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League to continue their development. George was a first-round pick by Washington in the 2024 NBA Draft. Miller signed a four-year, $83 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers in May after beginning his NBA career on a two-way deal.

George was second on Washington, averaging 17.5 points per game with 8.0 rebounds, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.0 steals. 3.5 turnovers and 5.0 fouls per game in Las Vegas. Miller led the Clippers, averaging 22.0 PPG and 7.8 RPG while contributing 2.6 APG, 1.2 SPG, 2.8 turnovers and 2.2 fouls.

Omier signed an exhibit 10 contract with Cleveland. In the summer league, Omier averaged 9.2 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 1.0 SPG, 2.8 TPG and 4.2 FPG. The Exhibit 10 contract allows Omier to compete in training camp for a spot on the Cleveland roster or on their G-League team.

Wong averaged 7.0 PPG and 1.6 APG with a breakout game of 18 points and six assists on Sunday versus the Atlanta Hawks. After beginning his NBA career with the Indiana Pacers and playing for the Charlotte Hornets, Wong also played for BC Žalgiris in the Lithuanian League in 2025.

Cleveland signed an Exhibit 10 contract with Dallas. In the Summer League, Cleveland averaged 7.5 PPG, 1.0 TPG and 1.3 FPG while playing in four of the five games Dallas played. Cleveland shot 40.7 percent from the field and 33.3 percent on three-point attempts. Those numbers will have to be improved.

Poplar averaged 6.5 PPG, 1.3 RPG, 1.3 APG, 1.0 SPG, 1.3 TPG and 1.3 FPG in 15.9 minutes per game, playing in four out of five games for the Chicago Bulls. Poplar also signed an Exhibit 10 contract. Kidd only played eight minutes in two games with Orlando in the Summer League.

All but Kidd and Wong among the Miami players in the 2025 NBA Las Vegas Summer League are guaranteed to compete for 2025-26 roster spots. Wong seems likely to be in training camp with Boston. Miami will continue to be represented in the NBA in 2025-26.
