Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward, running back Damien Martinez and tight end Elijah Arroyo with the Seattle Seahawks, linebacker Francisco Mauigoa and defensive end Tyler Baron with the New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Jalen Rivers and New England Patriots kicker Andres Borregales made their NFL preseason debuts this weekend.

Ward completed five passes in eight attempts for 67 yards, including leading Tennessee on a touchdown drive in the second and final series that he played. After a three-play, five-yard drive on the first series, Tennessee went 11 plays, 65 yards in 6:38 to cut its deficit to 10-7.

Ward is quickly building chemistry with Tennessee wide receiver Calvin Ridley. Ridley had three receptions for 50 yards on the only scoring drive of the game for Tennessee, which lost 29-7 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tennessee had 131 total yards after Ward left the game.

Arroyo had two receptions for 14 yards and Martinez had six carries for 10 yards and two receptions for 15 as Seattle tied the Las Vegas Raiders in their preseason opener. Arroyo is the third-team TE and Martinez the fourth-team RB on the Seattle depth chart.

Baron and Mauigoa each had two tackles for the Jets in a 30-10 win over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night. Baron had a good game with a 76.8 Pro Football Focus grade, the seventh highest for New York. Former Miami defensive tackle Leonard Taylor had two sacks for the Jets in the preseason opener.

Borregales made a 22-yard field goal and all three of his extra point attempts as New England beat the Washington Commanders 48-18 in their preseason opener. Borregales is competing with Parker Romo to be the New England kicker.

Bengals Wire gave Rivers a C grade after a 34-27 Cincinnati loss to Philadelphia in their preseason opener. Rivers allowed a sack and was called for a holding penalty. Rivers will have to clean up his performance in the final two preseason games to make the Bengals roster.

The next preseason game for the drafted Miami rookies is on Friday when Seattle hosts former division rival Kansas City and Tennessee plays at Atlanta. Tennessee at Atlanta will kickoff at 7 PM Eastern Daylight time and Kansas City at Seattle has a 10 PM start, with both games on the NFL Network.
