Miami Cornerback O.J. Frederique, leading rusher Mark Fletcher Jr. and second leading receiver C.J. Daniels are out on Saturday versus Syracuse per the ACC Game Day Availability Reporting update. Defensive tackle Ahmad Moten and linebacker Wesley Bissainthe were game-time decisions against Syracuse; only Bissainthe will suit up.
Daniels and Frederique are missing their second consecutive games. Bissainthe and Fletcher were injured last week in the 26-20 double overtime loss at SMU. Miami will also be without reserve WR Tony Johnson versus Syracuse.
Syracuse will be without starting left guard T.J. Ferguson, backup WR Emanuel Ross and reserve left tackle Joshua Miller as two of the 13 players who are out on the ACC Student-Athlete Availability Reporting update against Miami.
With Frederique out, Damari Brown and Ethan O'Connor should receive the most significant increase in snaps at CB for Miami against Syracuse. CharMar Brown and Jordan Lyle should receive their most significant amount of snaps and career at RB, with Fletcher out versus Syracuse.

With Moten ruled out, David Blay and Justin Scott would have received the majority of snaps at DT with Donta Simpson subbing in behind them. Bissainthe suffered an injury early versus SMU. Raul Aguirre and Mohamed Toure received most of the snaps against SMU, with Chase Smith playing limited snaps.
With Daniels and Johnson out, JoJo Trader should be a factor for Miami in the second consecutive game. Trader started with Keelan Marion and Malachi Toney for Miami at SMU last week. Johnson and true freshman Joshua Moore were the only other WRs to receive snaps for Miami versus SMU.
Miami should beat Syracuse easily, which would allow the young players more snaps on Saturday. Expect depth to impact Syracuse more than Miami on a hot day with a mid-afternoon kickoff time. Syracuse at Miami kicks off at 3:30 PM on ESPN. FanDuel Sportsbook lists Miami as a 28.5-point favorite.
