Despite a 38-10 win over Syracuse on Saturday, Miami dropped one spot to 13th in the ESPN Football Power Index. Miami remains the highest-rated ACC team in the ESPN FPI. SMU is the second-highest rated ACC team in the ESPN FPI at 23rd.
Miami is given a 50.6 percent chance to win out, a 3.6 percent chance to win the ACC and a 10.5 percent chance to make the College Football Playoff by the ESPN FPI. The ESPN FPI projects Miami to finish the 2025 season with 9.5 wins and 2.6 losses in its simulations.
Miami is 17th in the ESPN FPI in strength of record, has the 39th toughest strength of schedule, 58th remaining SOS, is 10th in game control and fifth in average in-game win probability. The Hurricanes are first in the ACC in SOR, GC and average in-game win probability.
Miami is 15th nationally in overall efficiency in the ESPN FPI, 29th in offensive efficiency, 12th in defensive efficiency and 81st in special teams efficiency. Miami is first in the ACC in overall and second in defensive efficiency. Wake Forest leads the ACC in defensive efficiency.

Miami is 13th overall in SP+, 21st in offense, 14th in defense and 12th in special teams. The Hurricanes remained the same in the SP+ after week 11. By virtually every metric ranking Miami is higher than they are in the national polls and the College Football Playoff rankings.
Miami is 16th in the week 12 Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches polls. The inaugural week 11 CFP rankings had Miami 18th. The week 12 CFP rankings will be released on Tuesday night. Georgia Tech is the only ACC team ahead of Miami in the week 12 national polls.
Miami is likely to pass Louisville and Virginia after they had upset losses in week 11. Georgia Tech should remain the highest-ranked ACC team in the CFP rankings with Miami second. Miami needs to continue winning impressively to improve its metric ratings and rise in the CFP rankings.
