Most of the top-10 teams won this week, but the second half of the AP Top 25 poll had a rough day. Luckily, none of that concerns the Miami Hurricanes, who have a great chance of returning to the top five after No. 4 Ole Miss is likely to drop several spots as a result of the Rebels' 52-28 loss to Florida.
Here is how I predict the AP Top 25 will shake out after some significant results in Week 4.
Texas survives and Miami moves into the top five
1. Texas Longhorns, 20-17 win over Tennessee
2. Georgia Bulldogs, 41-13 win over Oklahoma
3. Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 49-10 win over Purdue
4. Indiana Hoosiers, 29-23 win over Northwestern
5. Miami Hurricanes, 52-3 win over Central Michigan
6. Ohio State Buckeyes, 42-19 win over Illinois
7. Alabama Crimson Tide, 49-18 win over South Carolina
Ole Miss is going to drop outside the top 10 after a 52-28 loss to Florida, which means everyone else is going to slide up one. The only team I see making a possible jump into this group is the Gators, but they are in the next tier for now. Texas was the only team in this group to play a ranked opponent and the Longhorns escaped Neyland Stadium with a close win, but one that never really felt in doubt if that makes sense.
How high do the Gators climb? I say No. 9
8. LSU Tigers, 35-6 win over Texas A&M
9. Florida Gators, 52-28 win over Ole Miss
10. BYU Cougars did not play
11. Texas Tech Red Raiders, 49-14 win over Sam Houston State
12. Ole Miss Rebels, 52-28 loss to Florida
13. Iowa Hawkeyes, 20-19 win over Michigan
Poor BYU, the Cougars had to watch a couple of SEC teams jump them on their week off. That can't be fair, but it is life in college football. Especially during the first month of rankings. Florida moves up 12 spots after a very impressive win over the Rebels and Iowa's thrilling win on the road gets the Hawkeyes in the top 15.
Oregon is back in the CFP picture after a road win at USC
14. Oregon Ducks, 41-27 win over USC
15. Utah Utes, 31-17 win over Iowa State
16. Mississippi State Bulldogs, 31-24 win over Missouri
17. UCLA Bruins, 54-3 win over Maryland
18. Kentucky Wildcats, 45-21 win over South Alabama
19. Tennessee Volunteers, 20-17 loss to Texas
There were so many losses in the bottom of the top 25. Seven teams ranked No. 12 or lower took losses and a lot of those teams should not be in the updated polls. Two teams that moved in are UCLA, who are having a very nice start to the season under Bob Chesney. A road win like that gets everyone's attention. Kentucky got everyone's attention with a road win at Texas A&M. That win doesn't look as good this week, but the Wildcats are looking good.
Oregon shoots back up on the playoff fringe and Mississippi State continues its surge and will host Alabama next week and head to Baton Rouge on October 17. We will know more about the Bulldogs soon.
Duke finally gets the respect it deserves

21. Boise State Broncos, 32-7 win over Western Michigan
22. Houston Cougars, 42-28 win over Georgia Southern
23. USC Trojans, 41-27 loss to Oregon
24. Duke Blue Devils, 62-7 win over William & Mary
25. Oklahoma State Cowboys, 41-24 win over West Virginia
Alright, so I have Penn State, Louisville, Michigan, Missouri and Texas A&M out of the polls and none of those five teams have a justifiable argument to stay ranked. Meanwhile, Boise State and Duke should absolutely be ranked, and Oklahoma State certainly has an argument after beating Oregon and a previously undefeated West Virginia team. If North Dakota State played this week and won, the Bison would also have had an argument.
