Carson Beck's interception issues have come up at the most inopportune times and his last one might've ended everything Miami was playing for this season.
Beck threw two picks Saturday, including one at the goal line in overtime of a 26-20 loss to SMU that will likely end Miami's hopes at winning an ACC title and will put the Hurricanes' playoff hopes in jeopardy.
With the Hurricanes facing a third down inside the SMU 10, Beck tried to throw a slant to Malachi Toney, but SMU defender Ammaad Moses stepped in front of the pass for his second interception of the game. The Mustangs subsequently scored on their overtime drive to end the game.

To be fair, it wasn't all Beck's fault. Miami's secondary got torched by Kevin Jennings and the SMU receivers and there was enough questionable officiating to make you want to pull your hair out, but when the Hurricanes needed Beck most Saturday, he fell short again.
Fans explode on Beck after mistakes
Before today, Miami fans had kind of a love-hate relationship with Beck, but right now it's more of a hate-completely despise relationship. After another major mistake will likely cost Miami a chance at winning its first ACC title since the program joined the conference in 2004.
Needless to say, Hurricane fans were a little unhinged after this loss.
I should have known Carson Beck wasn't it when he cheated on Miami Queen Haley Cavinder

Why would Carson Beck throw this pass to the goal line?

If you're gonna throw that, throw it to the back of the end zone!
There was no one back there, and a touch throw probably scores.
Can't believe how bad this guy's been in their two losses.
Bench him next week! pic.twitter.com/O9hgz4kg8o
It's unlikely that the Hurricanes will bench Beck and when the news dropped about CJ Daniels missing today's game with an injury, there was going to be a good chance that an uphill battle was ahead. Still, Miami had its opportunities and a 20-17 lead with under two minutes remaining in the game.
Where Beck goes from here, who knows? Miami isn't out of playoff contention yet, but the Hurricanes will now be on the outside looking in. The early-season win against Notre Dame looks very good and maybe the Florida Gators will close strong to make that win look better. But the only way Miami was going to assure itself of getting in the 12-team bracket was by winning the ACC championship. And in a span of three weeks, the Hurricanes lost it all.
