Miami rallied from a four-run deficit after three innings to earn a 13-7 win at Florida on Sunday and avoid a three-game sweep by the Gators. Miami got on the board with two runs in the top of the fourth inning after Florida scored a pair of runs in the first and third. Florida hit two Miami batters and walked another pair as the Hurricanes scored their two runs in the fourth inning on one hit. Miami took control of the game in the top of the fifth.

The Hurricanes scored five runs in the top of the fifth inning which began when Jake Ogden was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. That was followed by an RBI single by Dorian Gonzalez, Tanner Smith had his own RBI single to continue moving the line and kept the bases loaded.

Booby Marsh had the third straight RBI single for Miami before Renzo Gonzalez grounded into a double play with no outs to plate the fifth run of the inning for the Hurricanes and put them in front to stay 7-4 at the end of five. Miami added two more runs in the sixth and four in the eighth to seemingly put the game out of reach.

Florida scored two in the bottom of the eighth and had the bases loaded with no outs but couldn't score anymore. Will Smith came on in relief after the two runs scored in the eighth. Former Hurricane Blake Cyr singled before Smith recorded two strikeouts and a ground out to get out of the eighth.
