As Cam Ward gets ready to begin his NFL career with his first preseason game on Saturday, the former Miami quarterback received a welcoming message to the NFL from Tom Brady. The message was part of a video featuring several all-time greats in a promotion with Fanatics.
Several rookies were matched up with NFL greats that included several Pro Football Hall of Famers who delivered personalized messages. Eli and Peyton Manning were the other QBs featured in the video. Ward became the third consecutive QB to be the top overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Some of the messages brought players to tears. Six Tennessee games are on Fox this season. Brady is entering his second season as the top analyst for Fox Sports. Tennessee finished 3-14 in 2024 and would be a longshot to be featured on the Fox game of the week in 2025.
Brady spoke extensively throughout the video and the hard work it took for him to succeed. The encouraging words from Brady were meaningful for Ward and he said he is ready for the challenge he is about to embark on as he begins his NFL career.

"Hey Cam!… Welcome to the NFL, my man… You're gonna grow in ways you couldn't even imagine, and I'm gonna be watching, and I'm always pulling for you."Tom Brady
Players do not always meet the expectations of being the first pick in the draft. If Ward reaches the expectations on him, Brady will eventually announce games he plays in. When returning starter Will Levis had season-ending shoulder surgery, it erased any doubt that Ward would be the starting QB on opening day for Tennessee.
"That's crazy, for the greatest player of all time to send me a video like that… I'm ready for the challenge."Cam Ward
Throughout the 2024 season, when Ward became a Heisman Trophy finalist, he remained humble. The gratitude Ward displayed in the Fanatics video showed Ward remains humble and grateful for the praise he receives. Getting praise from Brady is about the highest form of flattery f
