Former Miami quarterback Cam Ward earned praise for his grasp of the huddle and the energy he brings to the Titans from Tennessee left tackle Dan Moore Jr. Tennessee signed Moore Jr. as a free agent during the 2025 offseason after he spent the first four seasons of his career in Pittsburgh.

Moore Jr. is one of the most important players on the Tennessee roster, with his job protecting the blind side for Ward. Expectations from Ward are high after Tennessee selected him with the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Ward is the expected starter for Tennessee entering the 2025 season.

Will Levis was the primary starter for Tennessee in the last two seasons after the Titans selected him with the first pick in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Ward had to quickly adapt to new teams, systems and teammates throughout his college career, with two seasons at Incarnate Word and Washington State and one with Miami.

Moore signed a four-year, $82 million contract with Tennessee during the offseason that includes $50 million guaranteed and $30 million in 2025. Moore has started all 66 games he has played during his first four seasons in the NFL at tackle. In 2024, Moore led the NFL allowing 12 sacks and has 21 penalties with 11 holding calls in his NFL career.

Ward showed his grasp of the huddle by elevating Miami to the best offense nationally in 2024 and becoming a Heisman Trophy finalist. Miami led the nation, averaging 43.9 points per game and 537.2 total yards per game in 2024. Ward set Miami single-season records for passing yards, passing touchdowns, total offense and TDs responsible for in 2024.

Ward is currently the second favorite to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year at +380 in the FanDuel Sportsbook. Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty is the favorite at +250. Ward is -114 to go over or under 3200.5 passing yards during his rookie season by FanDuel.
