The sister of Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward said Monday that she and her family have received threats, harassment and personal attacks from fans after games, including following Sunday's 12-7 loss at the New York Giants.

Chantel Ward posted the message on social media a day after her brother threw a late interception that ended Tennessee's chance at its first win of the season. The Titans are 0-3, and Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft, is 3-17 as a starter in the NFL.

Chantel Ward said people message her on Facebook, X and Instagram after games with "threats, hate, bullying, personal attacks and disrespect toward me and my family, all over football."

She said criticism of the team and her brother's play is part of the sport, but going after relatives is not.

"Criticize the game. Criticize a play. Be frustrated with your team. That's sports, and I completely understand that," she said. "But seeking out a player's sister, parents or other family members to personally attack them because you're upset about what happened on a football field is something completely different."

Chantel Ward said her brother is "entertainment on Sundays" to fans and "my little brother" at home.

"So when people come onto my page or into my messages disrespecting him, me or my family and then tell me, 'Don't take it personal,' how exactly am I supposed to take it?"

Cam Ward completed 23 of 36 passes for 181 yards, one touchdown and one interception on Sunday. The interception came with Tennessee at the Giants 7-yard line and 24 seconds remaining. Giants safety Jevon Holland intercepted the pass in the end zone, effectively ending the game.

Ward, a former Miami Hurricanes quarterback, has 504 passing yards, two touchdown passes and one interception through three games this season. Tennessee will go on the road to face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
