Travis Branham of 247Sports reported on Thursday that Miami Columbus twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer are set to announce their college decision on Friday. The report came after the Boozer twins were reportedly going to announce their decision on Thursday.

Cameron and Cayden Boozer are deciding between Duke and Miami. Miami secured their second commitment for the 2025 season on Thursday from four-star 7'0 center Ben Ahmed. The first commitment for the 2025 Miami class came from four-star guard Matthew Able. With Able and Ahmed on board, Miami's 2025 class is now ranked 18th.

Cameron Boozer is the second-ranked prospect, top power forward and player in Florida in the 2025 class. Cayden Boozer is the 21st-ranked prospect, fourth point guard and fourth player in Florida in the 247Sports 2025 composite rankings. Commitments from the Boozer twins would give Miami the top 2025 class.

If they commit to Miami, Cameron Boozer would be the highest-ranked signee in program history and Cayden would be second. Freshman Jalil Bethea is the highest-ranked signee in Miami history. Bethea is projected to be a first-round NBA draftee in 2025. Signing the Boozers could entice Bethea to return for his sophomore season.

Cameron Boozer has averaged 20.7 points per game, 11.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.1 blocks in three seasons playing for Columbus. Cayden Boozer has averaged 16.6 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 5.1 APG and 1.8 SPG. The Boozers complement each other. Whoever signs the Boozers will have two projected 2025-26 starters.

Miami loses seven players entering their last season of eligibility in 2024-25. Cameron projects as the starting power forward and Cayden would be the starting point guard for Miami as freshmen. Multiple reports have stated that Cameron does not want to play center in college. The addition of Ahmed is important for Miami at center.

The entire Miami frontcourt is in their final season of eligibility entering the 2024-25 season. Miami will have to add frontcourt depth whether they sign the Boozers or not. Ahmed gives Miami a good foundation but is potentially more of a development player as a freshman. Miami will be active in the 2025 transfer portal.
