Carson Beck will have a chance at redemption in the next four games after throwing a quartet of interceptions as Miami lost 24-21 to Louisville on Friday night. The next four games for Miami are against the four worst pass defenses in the ACC.
Miami hosts Stanford on Saturday, plays at SMU on November 1, before its final two 2025 regular-season home games versus Syracuse on November 8 and North Carolina State on November 15. All four of those teams allow at least 257 passing yards per game.
Beck has completed 73.0 percent of his 2025 pass attempts with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions, while ranking fourth in the ACC, averaging 247.3 passing YPG. Beck is in a four-way tie for 16th in ACC among QBs who qualify with 16 interceptions thrown.
Stanford is 16th out of 17 teams in the ACC, allowing 304.7 passing YPG and last with one interception. In four ACC games, Stanford is allowing 318.8 passing YPG, with opponents throwing eight touchdowns and one interception.

“It’s not the first time I’ve taken a loss or had turnovers…it all ultimately came down to execution. I have to be better…”
He adds one loss doesn’t take away from what Miami has done this season and can still do.
SMU is last in the ACC, allowing 316.0 passing YPG with 15 TDs, but tied with Louisville for the conference lead of 10 interceptions. Against ACC opponents, SMU is 15th with opponents averaging 291.3 passing yards per game. SMU is second in the ACC, holding opponents to a 57.0 completion percentage.
Syracuse is 15th in the ACC, allowing 269.6 passing YPG with opponents throwing for 15 TDs and five interceptions. The Orange is allowing 266.3 passing YPG with nine TDs and three interceptions against ACC opponents. As a team, Miami will seek a redemptive win after a 41-38 loss in 2024.
North Carolina State is 14th in the ACC, allowing 266.3 passing YPG with 10 TDs and five interceptions. The Wolfpack has been far better against ACC opponents, ranking eighth in the conference, allowing 238.8 passing YPG with six TDs permitted and three interceptions.
Miami will be a significant favorite at home against Stanford, North Carolina State and Syracuse. SMU is likely the most difficult game remaining for Miami during the regular season. Beck will be challenged more in the final two games against Pittsburgh, seventh in the ACC in pass defense and Virginia Tech, which is eighth.
