Miami's matchup against Florida State was the biggest game they had up to this point in the season. It was their ACC opener, and the Hurricanes needed a big win to show they are the team to beat in the conference, and they did just that against the Seminoles.
While the final score was close at 28-22 to finish the game, Miami was in control the entire time, taking down the Seminoles on their home turf. The Hurricanes were led yet again by quarterback Carson Beck, who has been a highlight for Miami this season. Beck, since transferring from Georgia over the offseason, has shown a new side to his play, and Miami fans are very happy about it.
Beck's performance against Florida State was one that earned him Offensive Player of the Week by the Panini Senior Bowl. Beck finished the game against Florida State 20-for-27, throwing for 241 yards and four passing touchdowns. Beck had a hand in every score the Hurricanes had, and a night like that will definitely earn offensive honors.

Not only did the stats look good on paper with a 74% completion percentage, but it was enough to hand Florida State its second straight loss and really show the rest of the conference that Miami is for real.
What is the Panini Senior Bowl?
While the Panini Senior Bowl sounds like a new game, in reality, this is the same game as the Reese's Senior Bowl, just now with a new sponsor. Panini American took over as the new title sponsor of the Senior Bowl, as they are the exclusive trading card partner of the NFL.
The Panini Senior Bowl is a game played after the college football season has concluded, which is played by invitation only and is only for seniors looking to continue their career in the NFL. This game is a great way for NFL scouts to see players they are looking to draft up close and personal before the NFL Combine.
