New Miami quarterback Carson Beck had an up-and-down season for Georgia in 2024. Beck's season occurred in multiple parts. Beck completed 68.3 percent of his passes, averaged 222.7 yards per game and threw seven touchdowns without an interception as Georgia started 2024 with wins over Clemson, Tennessee Tech and Kentucky.

In their fourth game of 2024, the Bulldogs fell behind at Alabama 21-0 after the end of the first quarter. Alabama extended the lead to 28-0 in the second quarter and led 30-7 at halftime. Georgia was outgained 198-27 by Alabama in the first quarter. Beck was 2-7 for 19 yards and one interception in the first quarter.

Georgia had 12 yards on 10 plays with the one interception by Beck on their first three drives. Beck led an 11-play, 75-yard TD drive on the fourth possession of the game, as Georgia got on the board after Alabama shredded the Georgia defense for 174 yards on its first four possessions to take the 28-0 lead.

The Alabama safety came after Beck was called for intentional grounding in the end zone. Georgia had seven plays for 51 yards on its final three drives of the first half. After a three-and-out where Georgia lost 11 yards on the first drive of the second half, Beck and the Bulldogs began to roll offensively.

Beck was 8-15 for 80 yards, one TD and no interceptions in the third quarter. Georgia trailed Alabama 33-15 going to the fourth quarter. Georgia scored 21 consecutive points to begin the fourth quarter in taking an improbable 34-33 lead with 2:31 remaining.

Beck was 11-18 for 259 yards, two TDs and one interception in the fourth quarter. Georgia took the lead on a Beck to Dillon Bell 67-yard TD pass. Alabama answered 13 seconds later when Jalen Milroe threw a 75-yard TD pass to sensational 17-year-old freshman Ryan Williams to earn the win.

Beck finished 27-50 for a then career-high 439 yards, three TDs and three interceptions at Alabama. A week later versus Auburn, Beck went 23-29 for 240 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions as Georgia won 31-13. Beck seemed to put the interceptions behind him with the performance versus Auburn.

Beck was 36-48 for a new career-high 459 yards with three TDs, but two interceptions in a 41-31 win versus Mississippi State. The three interceptions began a poor four-game stretch for Beck. Beck completed 65 percent of his pass attempts averaging 282.25 passing yards per game, five TDs and nine interceptions.

Beck threw for 175 yards with no TDs and three interceptions as Georgia won 30-15 at Texas. Two weeks later Beck threw for 186 yards, no TDs and one interception as Georgia lost 28-10 at Mississippi. Georgia was fortunate to go 3-1 during the four-game stretch Beck struggled.

Over his final four games of the 2024 season, Beck completed 63 percent of his pass attempts for 997 yards, 11 TDs and no interceptions before suffering a year-ending UCL injury in the SEC Championship Game win over Texas. Miami will need more consistency from Beck in 2025.
