Brad Crawford of 247Sports ranked Miami as the fourth most difficult in his article "ACC schedule release: Charting toughest, easiest paths to 2025 postseason." Miami has an emotional five-game stretch to begin the season, beginning with Notre Dame in the season opener at Hard Rock Stadium.on August 31.
A four-game homestand to open the season continues with Bethune-Cookman on September 6, South Florida on September 13 and Florida on September 20. After a bye week, Miami is at Florida State on October 4. Miami returns home to host Louisville on October 17 and Stanford on October 25.
SMU hosts Miami on November 1 for the Hurricanes' first 2025 trip out of Florida on November 1. Miami returns home to host Syracuse on November 8 and North Carolina State on November 15, Virginia Tech hosts Miami on November 22 and the final game of the 2025 regular season is at Pittsburgh on November 29.
Number 13 Florida, 10th ranked SMU and Notre Dame who is seventh are the only three teams in the 247Sports way-too-early top 25 on the 2025 Miami schedule. Getting Notre Dame and Florida at home is huge for Miami. If Miami beats Florida and Notre Dame they will set a foundation for another chance to make the College Football Playoff.

The Hurricanes will not leave the state of Florida until Nov. 1 next season, a date with SMU that could determine one side of the ACC Championship Game if all goes according to plan for one of the nation's most-talented squads. September home showdowns with Notre Dame and Florida will be the tone-setters early for a group that hungers to return to the playoff conversation. Carson Beck arrives to pick up where Cam Ward left off."
Beck was critical for Miami to have a chance at competing for a 2025 College Football Playoff berth. Miami had little returning experience at quarterback. Emory Williams completed five passes in 14 attempts for 26 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the 42-41 Pop-Tarts Bowl loss to Iowa State.
Beck provides Miami with a productive and proven winner. In two seasons at Georgia, Beck had a 24-3 record as a starter. Beck is sixth all-time in Georgia history in passing yards and has two of the top five single seasons. Ward set the standard in 2024 for Miami QBs and improved significantly in his one season with the Hurricanes.
Expect Miami to add transfer wide receivers to give Beck more help. LSU transfer C.J. Daniels is the lone experienced WR on the 2025 Miami roster. Miami lost their top four WRs and best TE after the 2025 season. Miami's 2025 schedule should challenge them and put them in a good position for a College Football Playoff run.
