Words can't describe the heartbreak Miami football fans are feeling right now. However, there's also some anger, as this was a game the Canes had a great shot of winning, but mental mistakes and silly errors got in the way.

Give credit to Curt Cignetti and Indiana for the win, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Cignetti had some not-so-great words for Miami players during his halftime interview with ESPN. Fernando Mendoza was getting drilled in the first half by Miami players on defense and Cignetti was livid. So much in fact, he ripped the Canes a bit and the Miami faithful didn't love hearing what he had to say.

Curt Cignetti called out Miami at halftime of Indiana's CFP title win over the Canes

"Well there's three personal fouls on the quarterback not called on one drive that need to be called because they're obvious personal fouls," Cignetti said. "I'm all for letting them play, but when you cross the line, you gotta call it and they were black and white calls."

When you cross the line? Sheesh, tell us how you really feel, Curt. At the end of the day, though, flags weren't thrown and the officials didn't see anything wrong with what Miami was doing. Mendoza had a bloody lip and he showcased toughness. He didn't complain, so why was Cignetti so hot?

In the end, those plays didn't matter, as the Hoosiers were able to come out on top with a 27-21 win. Special teams haunted Miami in this one, while some big-time plays by the Indiana offense late in the action were too much for the Canes to overcome.

Everyone was hoping that Miami would be able to lift the CFP title in front of everyone at the Hard Rock Stadium, but it just wasn't meant to be. This loss is going to sting for a while and Cignetti's halftime comments only made things worse.
