It's all done. After plenty of worry and legal hoops to jump through, Miami has officially signed quarterback Darian Mensah and he's ready to get Miami back to the College Football Playoff. That's not the only thing he has on his mind.

CFP insider said what everyone is thinking on Miami stuffing Duke into a locker

This week, Mensah went one-on-one with Pete Nakos and the insider was kind enough to share some of that conversation on Twitter. Straight up, the veteran quarterback wants to do his best for the Canes, while also boosting his personal brand too. Mensah wants to be a first-rounder and he knows Miami, Mario Cristobal and Shannon Dawson can make that happen for him:

New Miami QB Darian Mensah is dreaming of the NFL now that he's with the Canes

This isn't Mensah using Miami to boost his NFL Draft stock. If anything, it's a win-win for the two sides. If Mensah balls out and lives up to the hype, not only will he help his stock, but it will also surely mean that Miami will have a year to remember too.

Two years ago, Cam Ward left Washington State and transferred to Miami. Ward put up video game-type numbers while in Pullman and then he was once again stellar during his lone season in Coral Gables. It led to him being taken with the No. 1 overall pick by the Tennessee Titans.

So, yeah, the move to Miami was brilliant for Ward. To follow that up, Carson Beck also transferred to The U and he helped the Canes reach the CFP title game. What will Mensah be able to do in following those two talented quarterbacks?

That's something we can't wait to find out, but it's clear that Mensah knows there are going to be high expectations placed on him. With all the talent around him, he's going to be in a great position to record a tremendous campaign in the ACC. And if he does, he won't have to wait long to hear his name called once the NFL Draft gets here in 2027.
