In some exciting news, Miami Hurricanes standouts offensive tackle Jalen Rivers and wide receiver Xavier Restrepo have met with the Miami Dolphins according to the team-centric fan site Fins Xtra. The Dolphins have seven picks in the 2025 NFL Draft spread over six rounds. Miami does not have 2025 third or sixth-round picks.
The Dolphins have the No. 13 overall pick in the first round, 48th in the second round, the 112th selection in the fourth round, the 142nd and 149th in the fifth round and the 200th and 207th in the seventh round. The NFL Mock Draft Database projects Restrepo as the 70th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and Rivers 194th.
Jacksonville holds the 70th pick, which is the sixth pick in the third round. The 194th overall pick is the 16th pick in the third round and belongs to Cleveland, ironically via trade with the Dolphins. That is the eighth of 13 2025 NFL Draft picks for Cleveland.

The Dolphins met with Jalen Rivers and Xavier Restrepo at the Senior Bowl
The Dolphins finished 8-9 during the 2024 season which was their worst record since finishing 5-11 in 2019. Miami finished eighth in pass attempts, 15th in passing yards, 16th in touchdown passes, 10th in interceptions thrown and 22nd in net yards per pass attempt. Only three WRs had more than 25 receptions for Miami in 2024.
Miami finished a respectable 15th in the NFL with 43 sacks allowed in 2024. With Tua Tagavailoa missing six games in 2024 primarily because of another concussion, having depth on the offensive line is critical for Miami in the future. Rivers would have a chance to develop with Miami and help improve their depth.
Restrepo and Rivers have their chance to impress NFL scouts when the Senior Bowl is played on Saturday with a 2:30 p.m ET kickoff on the NFL Network. Former Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo, running back Damien Martinez, Restrepo and Rivers are all participating for the National Team in the Senior Bowl.
