Elite Miami target set to commit during Overtime Nationals championship game

St. Frances Academy defensive lineman Jayden Travers will announce his commitment live at halftime of the inaugural Overtime Nationals championship game on Wednesday night, with the Miami Hurricanes among his final three schools.

St. Frances (Md.), ranked No. 3 nationally in the Rivals composite, will face Utah power Corner Canyon (ranked No. 21 in the nation) in the title game at Under Armour Stadium in Baltimore. The matchup will air on ESPN2 and feature Joe Tessitore and Dan Orlovsky on the call, with Travers' decision built into the broadcast as a halftime commitment ceremony. Travers will choose between the Miami Hurricanes, the Michigan Wolverines and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Travers is listed at 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds and plays inside and outside on a loaded St. Frances front. The Rivals Industry Ranking pegs him as the No. 553 overall prospect, No. 56 defensive lineman and No. 10 player in Maryland in the 2027 class. 247Sports has him as an 88-grade three-star and a top-10 prospect in Maryland.

St. Frances has numerous ranked prospects on its roster, including five-star defenders Zion Elee (Maryland commit) and Jireh Edwards (Alabama pledge), and has given up just 67 points in nine games this season.
