Expect for the Miami Hurricanes to have a huge presence near the top of this spring's NFL Draft.

One of the reasons it is so good to have the Miami Hurricanes in the College Football Playoff is Mario Cristobal's team will be able to show off its star-studded roster. Earlier in the season, this was the supposed best team in the country. Conference losses to Louisville and SMU knocked them down several pegs. But the point remains, this team's roster is absolutely loaded, especially in the trenches.

It is why ESPN's Field Yates had two Miami players going inside of the top 10 in his NFL Mock Draft.

Yates explains why he has the New Orleans Saints taking Francis Mauigoa at No. 5 in his mock draft.

He then explained why he had Rueben Bain Jr. going to the Cincinnati Bengals at No. 10 in this mock.

Let's now unpack what Yates had to say about Mauigoa and Bain and why they went where they went.

Why Field Yates has 2 Miami Hurricanes stars going inside the Top 10

For Mauigoa going to the Saints at No. 5, Yates argues that even though New Orleans has used back-to-back first-round picks on offense tackles in Kelvin Banks Jr. out of Texas last spring and Taliese Fuaga out of Oregon State the year prior, he is not sold on Fuaga being a foundational piece along the Saints' front-five moving forward. They should take a quarterback, but this roster needs a ton of work.

As for Bain heading to the Bengals at No. 10, this is all about Cincinnati admitting a pair of front-office mistakes made over the last calendar year. The Shemar Stewart draft pick was bad in the moment. Almost certainly losing Trey Hendrickson in free agency means the Bengals will have very little to work with in the pass rush. Joseph Ossai is also about to hit free agency well. Bain works well here.

Overall, the amount of talent Miami has at its disposal is why the Hurricanes can conceivably win multiple College Football Playoff games. They will have to be road warriors first, starting with a huge game at College Station on Saturday vs. Texas A&M. What we have to remember is it is a new season, one where anyone who did make the field has a shot at a national title, no matter how big or small...

Ultimately, football is a game where battles are won and lost in the trenches. It is why Miami has had staying power in the ACC this year. Conversely, it is why teams like the Saints and Bengals have pulled back in recent years. Yates connecting the dots from players listed on his ESPN colleague Mel Kiper Jr.'s big board was really cool to see in real time. Maybe Bain and Mauigoa will end up going to there?

For now, Miami has a playoff game to play this weekend, as the cement is not yet dry on this season.
