Wide receiver Jacolby George was praised for his workout at Miami Pro Day on Monday by ESPN College and NFL analyst Louis Riddick. Before moving into media, Riddick played nine years in the NFL and was a executive from 2001-13. Riddick states George is a player who stood out to him when calling 2024 Miami games.
George finished his Miami career with 130 receptions for 1,929 yards and 17 touchdowns. George regressed slightly in 2024 with 53 receptions for 752 yards and eight TDs. In 2023, George had 57 receptions for 864 yards and eight TDs. George was second on Miami in receiving yards and TDs and third in receptions in 2024.
In 2023, George finished second on Miami in receptions and receiving yards and led the Hurricanes in touchdowns. George is currently 356th on the NFL Mock Draft Database big board after being as high as 278th. Riddick projects George in a better position than the consensus of him being an undrafted free agent.
George ranked 27th in production score, 30th in athleticism and 35th overall among WRs at the NFL Combine. George scored a 32.5’’in the vertical jump, 10.0" in the broad jump and 6.77 seconds in the 3-cone drill at the NFL Combine. The performances by George in 2024 varied greatly.
Loved the way @CanesFootball WR Jacolby George worked yesterday at pro day. Was a player they stood out to me during regular season games that I called ‘24, and was catching everything yesterday while running some very good routes. Keep an eye out for this player next season…

Riddick called Miami's games at South Florida and Georgia Tech in 2024. George had one reception for 10 yards at South Florida and seven receptions for 88 yards at Georgia Tech. The seven receptions for George at Georgia Tech were his season high in 2024, which he tied a week later versus Wake Forest.
George also had season highs of 121 receiving yards at Syracuse and two TDs versus Wake Forest. Seven receptions were the career high for George. George set other career highs with 153 receiving yards versus Florida State and three TDs versus Texas A&M, which were both set during the 2023 season.
George needs more consistency as a player to keep an eye out for. Five times during the 2024 regular season, George had under 30 yards receiving. George had 20 punt returns for 218 yards during his Miami career. Showing an ability to contribute on special teams would help George make an NFL roster.
