Five ESPN writers project Indiana as a six- or seven-seed, with three picking Oklahoma, one each projecting Alabama and Texas A&M as the top first-round seed in Miami's CFP quarterfinal. Georgia is the most frequently predicted lower seed in Miami's CFP quarter to play on the road.

Indiana is at Oregon next week in a game between two top 10 opponents. Oklahoma plays Texas, who could plummet from ninth-ranked in the week six Associated Press Top 25 to completely out of the poll after falling to 3-2 following a 29-21 loss at Florida on Saturday.
Oklahoma has five remaining games against SEC opponents who were in the top 20 of the week six AP Poll. Penn State, who will also have a significant drop after losing at previously winless UCLA on Saturday, is the only remaining Top 25 team on the schedule for Indiana for the remainder of the 2025 regular season.
The loss by Louisville on Saturday at home to Virginia cost Miami a chance for another win over a Top 25 team. Miami hosts Louisville on October 17, following its second bye in two weeks next weekend. Louisville begins a stretch of seven consecutive games for Miami to finish the regular season.
