Florida at Miami will have a primetime kickoff on September 20. The game will start at either 7:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on ESPN or 7:30 PM on ABC. Florida is at LSU on Saturday with a 7:30 PM EDT kickoff on ESPN on Saturday. Miami hosts South Florida on Saturday with a 4:30 PM kickoff on the CW.

Miami has wins over Notre Dame and Bethune-Cookman to begin the 2025 season. Florida beat Long Island and lost to South Florida in its first two games. The Hurricanes are fifth in the Associated Press Top 25 and sixth in the USA Today Coaches Poll for week three.

Florida fell out of both polls after being ranked 13th in the AP Top 25 and 15th in the USA Today Coaches poll for week two. South Florida moved into the poll for the first time in 2025. The Bulls are 18th in the AP Top 25 and 23rd in the USA Today Coaches poll for week three.

Miami won 41-17 at Florida in the 2024 season opener. The 2024 Florida versus Miami game had a 3:30 kickoff on ABC. Saturday is the last scheduled Miami versus Florida game on the future schedules. Miami leads the all-time series with Florida 30-27.

ABC/ESPN scheduling the game in primetime shows the importance Florida versus Miami remains nationally. There are three games in week four with teams who are currently ranked playing each other. Two of those three games are scheduled for other networks.

How Florida and Miami play this weekend will impact which network the game appears on. Missouri at South Carolina is the other game ABC/ESPN is considering for the 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM kickoff. Florida at Miami will create more national interest than Missouri at South Carolina.

Only blowout losses by Florida or Miami in week three will likely keep the game from ABC. If Florida is competitive at LSU expect the top ABC/ESPN team of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit at Hard Rock Stadium for the Sunshine State showdown on September 20.
