Running Back Jordan Lyle and wide receiver Jojo Trader are expected to return for Miami on Saturday versus Florida. Florida will be without defensive lineman Caleb Banks. Florida has multiple other players listed on the injury report for Saturday depending on the media outlet.

Miami head coach Mario Cristobal said Lyle did not play against South Florida due to injuries limiting his practice time. Trader just missed the cut being ready to play against South Florida per Cristobal. Lyle and Trader were initially expected to play against South Florida.

Miami has adapted offensively with Lyle and Trader, who were expected to be major contributors this season. Mark Fletcher Jr. and CharMar Brown have received the majority of carries for Miami with Lyle out injured. Miami has had to rebuild its entire receiver corps after losing their top six from 2025.

Trader was expected to be a top WR for Miami with LSU transfer C.J. Daniels. With Trader out, Daniels and true freshman Malachi Toney have become the go-to receivers for Miami quarterback Carson Beck. Trader will provide another key receiver for Beck when he's healthy.

Banks re-injured his foot in the 20-10 Florida loss at LSU last week. Banks had surgery in 2024 that caused him to miss the Gasparilla Bowl and re-aggravated it during training camp, which caused him to miss the first two games of the season.

Florida DL L.J. McCray is listed as out by Team Rankings. Other players on the injured list for Florida are DL Michai Boireau and guard Fletcher Westphal. Canes Warning partner site Hail Florida Hail quoted head coach Billy Napier as stating five-star WR Dallas Wilson will begin practicing next week and miss the Miami game.
