When it comes to the transfer portal, there's always going to be a game of musical chairs going on each winter and spring. For quarterback Jake Garcia, he's now getting ready to join his fourth program.

Garcia signed with the Miami football team back as a member of the 2021 class, doing so as a 4-star prospect. However, things didn't go to plan for him and his time in Coral Gables didn't last long. He transferred to Mizzouri, only to join East Carolina after that.

He's back in the portal looking for a new home. Could a move to Ann Arbor be on the way for him? That appears like it could be happening, as On3's Pete Nakos has put in his official prediction for the veteran signal-caller to sign with Michigan:

Former 4-star Miami signee Jake Garcia is expected to transfer to Michigan

Some veteran help to back up quarterback Bryce Underwood? That's exactly what Michigan has in mind, as the 5-star freshman is hoping to make plenty of noise in Year 1 as the starter for the Big Ten powerhouse.

Should Garica indeed sign with the Wolverines, he'd be able to provide plenty of wisdom and insights for Underwood. Back when Garcia was a high school prospect, he was a touted playmaker, with more than 20 programs across the country putting an offer on the table for him.

In the end, he signed with Miami over USC, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU and many others. Garcia was ranked four stars, the No. 8 QB in the country and the No. 48 prospect overall for the '21 class. When he put the pen to paper with Miami, fans had high expectations for him.

However, he simply never lived up to the hype and he once again is looking for a new team to suit up for. Only time will tell if Garcia ends up playing for Sherrone Moore and Michigan, but Nakos is usually pretty spot on with his predictions when they come in.
