The Falcons waived former Miami wide receiver Keelan Marion on Saturday. The Atlanta native signed as an undrafted free agent in May and spent camp trying to crack the roster.
The team can still sign him to the practice squad if he clears waivers on Monday.

WR Keelan Marion's era with the Falcons is over
Atlanta's WR room is Drake London, Jahan Dotson, Olamide Zaccheaus, third-round pick Zachariah Branch and veteran Chris Blair. Beaux Collins went on injured reserve with a designation to return. The other receivers cut with Marion included Vinny Anthony II, Dylan Drummond and Antwane Wells Jr.
The Falcons kept four quarterbacks, two running backs and three tight ends, including Kyle Pitts.
Marion finished the preseason with one catch for 9 yards on four targets. He had a 9-yard reception in Friday's finale against the Miami Dolphins. That was not enough to pass Blair, who made the roster after a strong camp, or Branch, the draft pick Atlanta is developing.
Keelan Marion had a successful stint at Miami and solid college career
Marion started all 16 games for Miami in 2025, earned All-ACC honorable mention and ranked second on the Hurricanes with 57 receptions and 746 yards. He scored twice, averaged 24.4 yards as the primary kickoff returner and finished with 1,064 all-purpose yards.
His best game was the Fiesta Bowl against Ole Miss where he had seven catches, 114 yards and a touchdown. He also had a 61-yard score and 116 yards on three catches against Syracuse.
Before Miami, Marion played his college ball at BYU and UConn. In 2024 with the Cougars he was a first-team All-America returner, with kickoff return touchdowns of 100 yards against Wyoming and 96 against Utah.
Across five college seasons he had 133 receptions for 1,871 yards and nine receiving touchdowns.
