Braylon Calais, the four-star standout from Cecilia, Louisiana, will announce his college commitment April 20. He is choosing from Miami, Ohio State, LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Houston. Calais measures in at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds and is ranked as a top-five athlete nationally in the 2027 cycle by the Rivals Industry Ranking.
Calais checks in at No. 71 in ESPN's Junior 300 and 247Sports' Composite ranks him No. 149 nationally, No. 8 among athletes and No. 8 in Louisiana.

Braylon Calais commitment date is set as Miami chases elite 2027 ATH
Calais also competes in basketball and track and field, in addition to football. He holds early track marks of 23.47 in the 200 meters, 15.08 in the 110-meter hurdles and 42.02 in the 300-meter hurdles.
Calais broke out as a dynamic all-around offensive weapon in the 2024 season in which he rushed for 1,059 yards and 24 touchdowns on 163 carries while adding 411 receiving yards and four more scores.
Calais was named District Offensive MVP after playing running back, quarterback and receiver for Cecilia high school. In district play, he rushed for 275 yards and four touchdowns on 35 carries, caught 13 passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns, and completed 6 of 9 passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a kick-return touchdown.
For the full 2025 season, including playoffs, Calais rushed for 1,108 yards and 20 touchdowns on 170 carries, caught 32 passes for 498 yards and six touchdowns, and returned eight kickoffs for 404 yards and two scores. In Cecilia's regional-round win over Lakeshore, Calais had to play more quarterback after the starter got hurt and finished with 193 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries while also throwing for 165 yards and three touchdowns on eight completions.
