Danny Kanell has been trolling Miami for a hot minute on his social media, but the former FSU quarterback was at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday night and got to witness the Hurricanes up close and personal.
And, after the 'Canes left Tallahassee with a 28-22 win, Kanell had to eat a little bit of crow and admit he was wrong about Carson Beck and Miami.
After Week 6 here is most reliable ranking on the planet. No guessing games. Earned not given. #DKtop12

Kanell later went on CBS Sports HQ to go in further detail about what he saw from Miami that made him change his tune.
""Miami punched their ticket to the college football playoff tonight. The biggest part of their schedule was early. They made it through unscathed. They've got a game to play with, and they're going to make the ACC title [game]. They're a lock to get in the playoffs.""Former FSU QB Danny Kanell
There's no one left on the Hurricanes schedule that's ranked and the FPI will probably have them double-digit favorites in each game for the rest of the way. Just hitting the 11-win mark will be enough to get in the playoffs, but MIami wants more than that. The Hurricanes want an ACC title, an undefeated season, a first-round bye...all of it.
The top three...and everyone else
And, as stated by his list of top teams, Kanell sees Miami as one of the teams that's separated itself from the pack.
"I think there's starting to be a separation, and I've talked about the parity in college football and I think it's here, and it's here to stay...I think Ohio State, Oregon and Miami have elevated themselves above the rest of this field and started their own tier," he added.
What separates the top three from the rest of the pack according to Kanell? It's about the play in the trenches and having a top-level quarterback to put it altogether.
"The thing that's really impressive to me is the offensive and defensive lines...and quarterbacks. All three schools have quarterbacks playing at an elite level and that's something that not a lot of programs have right now," Kanell concluded. "So I think Miami has elevated themselves up in the upper echelon — that top tier of the sport right now."
