Miami Hurricanes alums have authored some of the Super Bowl's most memorable moments, from game MVP honors to the most famous opening kick in Super Bowl history.

Here are five of the best single-game Super Bowl performances by former Hurricanes.

Ottis Anderson, Giants, Super Bowl XXV

Ottis Anderson, the former Hurricanes running back, carried the load in the Giants' 20-19 win over the Bills, rushing 21 times for 102 yards and a touchdown and earning Super Bowl MVP honors.

Michael Irvin, Cowboys, Super Bowl XXVII

Irvin's Super Bowl resume is loaded, but his biggest day came in Dallas' first win over Buffalo. The Hurricanes great finished with six catches for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys’'52-17 blowout win.

Ray Lewis, Ravens, Super Bowl XXXV

Ray Lewis had five tackles and four passes defensed on the way to Super Bowl MVP honors as Baltimore beat the Giants 34-7.

Devin Hester, Bears, Super Bowl XLI

No Miami alum has a more instantly recognizable Super Bowl clip than Hester. He took the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown, becoming the first player to return the opening kick for a score in Super Bowl history. It gets replayed every year around the week of the Super Bowl, even though Chicago ultimately lost 29-17.

Reggie Wayne, Colts, Super Bowl XLI

After Hester's return put Chicago up early, Wayne flipped momentum with a 53-yard touchdown catch from Peyton Manning. It was one of the defining offensive plays of the Colts' 29-17 win.

Jeremy Shockey, Saints, Super Bowl XLIV

Shockey found the end zone in New Orleans' win over Indianapolis, catching 3 passes for 13 yards and a touchdown. His 2-yard TD in the fourth quarter was part of the stretch that put the Saints in front for good.

Jonathan Vilma, Saints, Super Bowl XLIV

Vilma was all over the field for New Orleans, finishing with 7 tackles (all solo) and 1 pass defended as the Saints' defense helped close out a 31-17 win.

Ed Reed, Ravens, Super Bowl XLVII

Reed came away with an interception and added 5 tackles in Baltimore's 34-31 win over San Francisco.

Warren Sapp, Buccaneers, Super Bowl XXXVII

Sapp helped power Tampa Bay's dominant defensive performance, recording 1 sack and 2 tackles in the Bucs' 48-21 win over Oakland.
