Once you get past the shared name, these are two very different teams with two very different postseason situations.

The Miami (Ohio) RedHawks are 31-0, 18-0 in the MAC and the only unbeaten team left in Division I entering conference tournament play. Miami (FL), meanwhile, is 24-7 and finished 13-5 in the ACC, good for third in the conference.

Miami (Ohio) has the better record and one of the best offensive seasons in the country. Miami (FL) has the stronger resume by selection-committee standards, sitting No. 32 in the NET rankings with a 5-5 Quad 1 record and a 6-2 mark in Quad 2, while Miami (Ohio) checked in at No. 54 in that same NET update with no Quad 1 opportunities and a 2-0 Quad 2 record.

How Miami (FL) and Miami (OH) stack up

Eian Elmer adds 12.5 points and 6.1 rebounds on 43.4% 3-point shooting. Luke Skaljac averages 10.3 points and 4.7 assists. Almar Atlason and Antwone Woolfolk both average at least 10 points as well.
