Miami sits 6-1 (2-1 ACC) after a 42-7 rout of Stanford, and the schedule — as college football is now on its way to November — offers a clearer picture of the Canes' resume. Here's where every opponent Miami has faced stands entering Week 10, and how it helps, or hurts, the Hurricanes.
Notre Dame (W, 27-24 on Aug. 31)
The Irish remain a quality win, and after Week 9, it is Miami's best win. Notre Dame is 5-2 and No. 12 in the AP Poll, rattling off five straight wins after the losses to Miami and Texas A&M. ND has wins over Purdue, Arkansas, Boise State and NC State before beating No. 20 USC, 34-24. They were on a bye this week, but since USF fell to Memphis, this win is without a doubt the most important piece to Miami's resume. Next up is a road trip to Boston College.

Bethune-Cookman (W, 45-3 on Sept. 6)
An FCS opponent won't make or break a season but it is worth a shoutout. Bethune-Cookman is tracking towards a winning year, the Wildcats are 4-4 (3-1 SWAC) after an October surge and remain Miami's lone FCS game. That night, Carson Beck set a school mark with 15 straight completions, and Miami conceded only a field goal.
- Nov. 1 — vs Mississippi Valley State
- Nov. 8 — at Grambling State
- Nov. 15 — at Jackson State
- Nov. 22 — vs Florida A&M (Florida Classic, Orlando)
South Florida (W, 49-12 on Sept. 13)
The win over USF was a factor in the resume that many didn't predict in the offseason. Going into Week 9, the Bulls were projected to make the CFP as the Group of Six representative and were one of the stronger supporting points for the Hurricanes. Unfortunately for Miami, the Bulls lost 34-31 in a comeback victory orchestrated by Memphis. USF is now 6-2 (3-1 American) and their headline wins over then-No. 25 Boise State and then-No. 13 Florida have lost some luster as the season has continued. Still, the dominating fashion in which Miami got their victory is enough for this to be a quality win, despite USF falling out of the AP Top 25.
- Nov. 6 — vs UTSA
- Nov. 15 — at Navy
- Nov. 22 — at UAB
- Nov. 29 — vs Rice
- Dec. 5/6 — American Championship (if qualified)
Florida (W, 26-7 on Sept. 20)
The Gators are 3-4 and navigating a coaching transition after Billy Napier's Oct. 20 dismissal. Florida's resume still includes a marquee 29-21 upset of then-No. 9 Texas, but losses to USF, LSU, Texas A&M and Miami have kept them below .500 entering their matchup against Georgia. The Gators were off in Week 9, but if they can finish strong, maybe the win looks better by the end of the year. For now, it won't be counted as "impressive" but a win is a win.
- Nov. 1 — vs Georgia (Jacksonville)
- Nov. 8 — at Kentucky
- Nov. 15 — at Ole Miss
- Nov. 22 — vs Tennessee
- Nov. 29 — vs Florida State
Florida State (W, 28-22 on Oct. 4)
What was a ranked rivalry win at the time has now become a result that helped send team into a tailspin. FSU has dropped four straight and is 3-4 (0-4 ACC) after a 20-13 loss at Stanford in Week 8. The Seminoles were on a bye in Week 9, but the fact of the matter remains: FSU is second-to-last in the ACC standings, so the win over Alabama to open the year is enough to make this a quality victory for Miami. Also, it doesn't help that Florida State tacked on two late TDs and one FG to make the final score look closer than it actually was.
- Nov. 1 — vs Wake Forest
- Nov. 8 — at Clemson
- Nov. 15 — vs Virginia Tech
- Nov. 21 — at NC State (Fri.)
- Nov. 29 — at Florida
Louisville (L, 21-24 on Oct. 17)
The Cardinals won again after the upset in Miami Gardens — and that is good and bad for the Hurricanes. Louisville moved to 6-1 with a 38-24 win over Boston College in Week 9 and came in at No. 16 in the AP Poll Sunday. The win from Louisville is good for Miami in the sense that it makes their loss more respectable. But, the concern here is that they could win out and that would complicate Miami's chances to play in the ACC Championship Game. Also, in the coming weeks, if Louisville stays at one-loss, they could find themselves jumping the Hurricanes in the CFP Committee Rankings.
- Nov. 1 — at Virginia Tech
- Nov. 8 — vs California
- Nov. 14 — vs Clemson (Fri.)
- Nov. 22 — at SMU
- Nov. 29 — vs Kentucky
Stanford (W, 42–7 on Oct. 25)
Stanford isn't going to be a win that moves the needle for Miami, but they could be a bowl team if they win three of their last four games. Stanford is 3-5 (2-3 ACC), with the notable 20-13 win over Florida State in Week 8.
- Nov. 1 — vs Pittsburgh
- Nov. 8 — at North Carolina
- Nov. 22 — vs California (Big Game)
- Nov. 29 — vs Notre Dame
