Wide receiver Xavier Restrepo, tight end Elijah Arroyo, offensive lineman Jalen Rivers and running back Damien Martinez will represent Miami in the Senior Bowl on Saturday in Mobile, Ala. Arroyo, Martinez, Restrepo and Rivers were all key players as Miami led the nation in points per game and yards in 2024.
Pro Football Focus named Arroyo the top-performing TE during the week of Senior Bowl practice. Arroyo is in a position to be the third TE drafted in April "behind Penn State’s Tyler Warren and Michigan’s Colston Loveland" per PFF. During Senior Bowl practice week, Arroyo frequently beat defensive backs with his athleticism.
Restrepo was praised by Max Chadwick of PFF for showing off his route running, footwork and football IQ and excellent in red zone drills in day three. Chadwick stated Restrepo showed he is one of the best slot receivers in the 2025 NFL Draft and solidified his projection as a day-two pick in April.
Martinez has been widely praised on social media throughout Senior Bowl week. Playing on the National Team in the Senior Bowl, Martinez will have to share carries with five other RBs. Expect New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka who is coaching the National Team in the Senior Bowl to play the hot hand at RB.
Rivers' versatility should help his NFL Draft stock and how many reps he plays in the Senior Bowl. Miami played Rivers at guard and tackle throughout his career. Rivers took snaps at center during Senior Bowl practice week leading up to the game on Saturday. Expect to see Rivers moved around on the OL in the Senior Bowl.
Miami players are positioned to do well during the Senior Bowl. Expect to especially see Arroyo and Restrepo have productive games on Saturday. Taylor Elgersma who was the best college player in Canada in 2024, Tyler Shough from Louisville and third-place Heisman Trophy finisher Dillon Gabriel from Oregon are the National QBs.
The Senior Bowl will be televised by the NFL Network with a 2:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday. Rhett Lewis will call play-by-play with NFL Draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah, former NFL defensive back and long-time football analyst Charles Davis providing analysis, with Tom Pelissero as the sideline reporter.
