Defensive lineman Micah Carter is a game-time decision after being questionable on the first two Student-Athlete Availability Reporting Game Day update and defensive back Rodney Johnson and running back Keyjuan Brown were upgraded from probable to off the injured list for Louisville.

Linebacker Bobby Washington Jr. is out and running back Girard Pringle Jr. was taken off the Student-Athlete Availability Reporting GameDay update after previously being listed as probable for Miami. None of the seven players who are out for Miami have made significant impacts on the field in 2025.

Brown being healthy for Louisville is a much-needed boost for Louisville's backfield, which is missing Duke Watson. Linebacker Stanquan Clark, who played with Rueben Bain at Miami Central, is out indefinitely for Louisville after surgery last month. Clark was second on Louisville with 76 tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss in 2024.

Running back depth will be tested for Louisville with Shammai Gates and Jamarice Wilder also unavailable for the Cardinals. Brown and starting RB Isaac Brown could have a significant amount of carries on Friday night.

Miami RB Jordan Lyle and WR JoJo Trader are off the injured list for the second consecutive game. Lyle had seven carries for 18 yards versus Florida State. Trader did not play against Florida State per the official Miami stats.

Hurricanes offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson said Trader had a good week of practice and that he is looking forward to the sophomore making some plays. Trader contributing would provide Miami quarterback Carson Beck with another big-play receiver, with C.J. Daniels and Malachi Toney.

Louisville at Miami will kick off at 7 p.m. from Hard Rock Stadium on ESPN. Dave Pasch will call play by play, Dusty Dvoracek is the analyst and Taylor McGregor is the sideline reporter. The Hurricanes are 12-4-1 all-time against Louisville
