Four-star Miami Northwestern cornerback J'Vari Flowers reclassified from the 2026 class to 2025 on Wednesday night per multiple reports. Now, the Miami Hurricanes have a 95.7 percent chance to sign Flowers per his On3 profile page. Reclassifying to the 2025 class allows Flowers to sign on National Signing Day on Wednesday.

Flowers is the No. 66 prospect, No. 7 CB and No. 10 ranked player in Florida in the On3 Industry Rankings. In the 247Sports Composite rankings, Flowers is 94th, 12th and 13th. Miami has made the secondary a priority in the 2025 class and just hired Zac Etheridge from Houston as the new defensive backs coach.

Miami signed four-star CBs Jaboree Antoine, Chris Ewald and Amari Wallace in the 2025 class and added blue chip transfers Charles Brantley, Emmanuel Karnley, Xavier Lucas and Ethan O'Connor at the position to next season's roster.

Flowers is a bit undersized at 5'10.5 and he needs to continue developing physically at 165 pounds. Andrew Ivins, the 247Sports Director of Scouting, stated Flowers is a "real difference-maker in the slot with his physicality and twitch." Ivins projects Flowers as a multi-year Power Four starter who can be a difference-maker on special teams.

Miami is already the favorite to land 2025 CB J'Vari Flowers

Flowers was a part-time player on offense for Miami Northwestern with six carries for 154 yards and two touchdowns and also had two kickoff returns for 185 yards. In three seasons for the Bulls on defense, Flowers had 82 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, one interception and 28 passes defended.

Oklahoma State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, North Carolina and Mississippi State all offered Flowers this month before he reclassified to 2025. Georgia is reportedly hosting Flowers for a visit this weekend. The On3 projection could change as other schools recruit Flowers more assertively following his reclassification.

Expect Etheridge and new Miami defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman to get immediately involved in Flowers' recruitment. Miami would move up from 14th to 12th in the 2025 class rankings, passing Notre Dame and USC if they can sign Flowers.
