You know what, this is what people all over Nashville have been waiting for. The Tennessee Titans have been in need of a star signal-caller for quite some time and Miami football superstar signal-caller Cam Ward is ready to get this team back to a high level of play.
On Tuesday, the AFC South side kicked off OTAs and plenty of eyes of course were on Ward throwing the ball all over the field to his veteran wideouts. While there's still a long wait for Week 1 to get here in September, Ward showed flashes of brilliance. Too early to overreact? Not at all, especially with him throwing dimes to Calvin Ridley like this:
Cam Ward has wasted no time impressing Tennessee Titans fans at OTAs
Yes, this is just one clip and it's not live game action. With that said, after what the Tennessee faithful had to watch out of former second-round pick Will Levis the past two seasons, you can understand why so many people are hyped up over what Ward is getting done.
This throw in particular to Ridley was perfectly on the money, with Ward putting the ball in a place where only his stud receiver could come down with it. With the greatest respect for Levis, there's just no denying that Ward is a much better player than him.
The hope was that Levis would be able to become a franchise QB for the Titans, but the front office saw all it needed to in 2023 and 2024 to decide a replacement needed to be brought in. Ward heardhis name called first in the 2025 NFL Draft and he's now ready to live up to the huge expectations being placed on him.
Miami supporters know what this kid can do with the ball in his hands and they're all going to be paying close attention to him in Year 1 with the Titans. Ward won't waste any time turning heads once the regular season gets here. Week 1 can't get here soon enough for him.
