Jai Lucas will have two of the country's highest-ranked high school forwards on campus this weekend when the Miami men's basketball staff hosts 2027 prospect CJ Rosser and 2028 prospect Evan Willis.
Both players are expected to be in South Florida in conjunction with No. 6 Miami's football game against Central Michigan at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium.
CJ Rosser set to visit campus this weekend
Rosser, a 6-foot-10, 200-pound power forward at Southeastern Prep in Orlando, is the No. 2 player in the 2027 class and the No. 1 power forward in the 247Sports composite. He is from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and has already taken official visits to North Carolina and NC State.
After Miami, he is scheduled to be at Arkansas on Sept. 28, Kentucky on Oct. 1, USC from Oct. 4-6 and Louisville on Oct. 22-23.
Rosser played last summer with Team United on the Nike EYBL circuit and averaged 16.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 1.4 steals.
Rosser's final seven schools: Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, NC State, North Carolina and USC.
Evan Willis set to come to Coral Gables this weekend
Willis is a 6-foot-7, 180-pound small forward at Utah Prep in Hurricane, Utah. He is ranked as the No. 7 player in the 2028 class, the No. 3 small forward nationally and the No. 1 prospect in Utah. On the Puma Circuit with BTI, he averaged 18 points and 8.6 rebounds.
Willis began his high school career at Mater Dei as a freshman and then spent 2025-26 at Crossroads in Santa Monica before he enrolled at Utah Prep.
Miami is 3-0 in football after Friday's 33-20 win at Wake Forest and will face Central Michigan on Saturday. Basketball recruits will either be in the suite level or on the sideline, then spend the rest of the visit with the basketball program.
