Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love appeared to celebrate Indiana's title by posting an Instagram story that read, "Brought a smile to my face Indiana." The message then circulated widely Tuesday through reposts.

Miami lost to Indiana in CFP national championship game
For Miami fans still mourning the loss, it seems like a cheap shot from Love.
Love, a top-flight RB from Notre Dame, finished the 2025 season with 1,372 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. Love was named a Heisman Trophy finalist, and is widely regarded as one of the best RB's in college football.
This season saw a major debate over Miami, Notre Dame and the College Football Playoff bubble. Miami opened the year by beating Notre Dame 27-24 at Hard Rock Stadium, a result that later became a major talking point when analysts debated which team deserved the final at-large spot.
The Hurricanes ultimately got in and rode it all the way to the title game, where Indiana finished its perfect season. Love's worst game of the year came against the Hurricanes, so the comments could stem from that.
This isn't the first time Love has been brought up in Miami's CFP run
Back in December, after Miami beat Texas A&M in the first round, Hurricanes offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa said, "Hey Jeremiyah Love, you mad?" in another moment that made the rounds on social media. Love had publicly rooted for Texas A&M that week.
Obviously, Love is allowed to have an opinion, but Miami just lost the national championship game. Indiana earned it. And Love had nothing to do with it.
The college football world keeps moving
The Hurricanes are going to spend the next few weeks dealing with NFL decisions, transfer portal movement and the reality that they came so close to winning it all... but couldn't get it done against the Hoosiers.
