Mark Jon Gruden down as a fan of Carson Beck.

The former Super Bowl-winning coach spent an hour breaking down the Miami-Texas A&M first-round CFP game on his YouTube channel. When the conversation turned to Beck, Gruden said that the redshirt senior looks the part of a future NFL player.

"He's a polarizing guy for some people. People don't seem to think he's a Heisman candidate. Hell, he's 34-5. He's thrown for 11,000 yards," Gruden said. "He had Georgia winning football games in the SEC. He had Miami in the playoffs. This guy is a big, prototype looking NFL future quarterback to me."

Gruden continues on and spotlights Beck's accuracy as a big reason why he believes the redshirt senior could have a nice career in the NFL.

"We know about the history at 'the U' with Bernie Kosar and Jim Kelly. You got Vinny [Testaverde], you got all these great quarterbacks...no one's ever thrown for 75 percent. Carson Beck does a lot of great things. He did have the two outings where he struggled...can he stay away from turnovers and play a consistent, error-free game against this Aggie pass rush?

Beck's professionalism will be on display Saturday

Gruden hosts the YouTube show with his assistant Jake Malasek, who added that a lot of the criticisms around Beck likely stem from some of the off-the-field stories that revolved around during the offseason. But once the lights came on, Beck had proved to be the leader that Mario Cristobal hoped he would be when he joined the Hurricanes.

"I think a lot of people's problems with Beck are off the field versus on the field. He's got the girlfirends, the fancy cars, the NIL deals," Malasek said. "I watched his post-game press conference after Notre Dame. He looked like such a professional, NFL-ready quarterback. Saying the right things, acting the right way. This Miami team is very dangerous on offense, and he's a big reason for it."

In a road game that's expected to come down to the final possessions, Beck's experience and professional mindset could be the factor that puts Miami over the top Saturday and sends over 100,000 Texas A&M fans home with broken hearts.
