On3 Vice President of Recruiting and Transfer Portal Steve Wiltfong dropped a Fong Bomb for five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell to Georgia on Thursday morning. Cantwell named Miami in his top six with Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio State, and Oregon.
Chad Simmons, the director of recruiting for On3 only mentions Georgia, Miami and Oregon in his update for Cantwell on Thursday. Cantwell is the top-ranked player in the 2026 On3 Industry Rankings. Georgia will host Cantwell on May 10, preceding his May 13 commitment announcement.
The On3 profile page for Cantwell lists official visits for Cantwell to Oregon on April 26, Miami on May 9 and Michigan on June 13. Per his On3 page, Cantwell has taken four visits to Georgia, three to Miami and one to Oregon. Simmons reported Miami grabbed momentum for Cantwell this spring, but that Georgia had always been the frontrunner.
Georgia is currently listed by On3 with a 73.5 percent chance for a commitment from Cantwell. Former Miami offensive line coach Stacy Searles, who is currently in the same position at Georgia, is leading the Bulldogs' recruitment for Cantwell. Miami OL coach Alex Mirabal is leading the Hurricanes' recruitment of Cantwell.

Jeremy Johnson of DawgsHQ reported Cantwell will choose between Georgia, Miami, Ohio State and Oregon. Miami is second with a 9.8 percent chance for a Cantwell commitment per On3, with Oregon having a 1.4 percent chance and Ohio State not mentioned on his profile.
Wiltfong has placed his prediction of Cantwell with a confidence of 60.0 percent that Georgia will receive the commitment per Johnson. Cantell told Wiltfong via Johnson, "There is a lot to like about Georgia..the coaching situation is great. I like the development...and they win a lot of football games."
Four-star prospect Ben Congdon is currently the only OT committed to Miami in the 2026 class. Miami also has commitments from three-star interior OL Joel Erving and JJ Sparks in the 2026 class. Miami is expected to lose at least four of their five projected starting OL after the 2025 season.
