However the game between Miami and Ole Miss ends, a missed field goal could be something commentators talk about a lot after the game, especially if it comes down to one score. Miami has had its fair share of kicking woes, the biggest coming against Texas A&M in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
After an intentional grounding penalty backed the Hurricanes up, Miami had to settle for a field goal on its first drive, and kicker Carter Davis missed from 51 yards out. Ole Miss tried to get something going on offense, but some drops stalled the Rebels' drive, setting them up for a 51-yard field goal as well.
The Rebels' kicker, Lucas Carneiro, has been like a cyborg this season with field goals, making the craziest kicks and almost never missing. Well, on his 51-yard field goal, he showed he is human, and Miami head coach Mario Cristobal could not contain his excitement.

When the cameras panned to Cristobal on the sideline after the doink off the uprights from Carneiro, he was running up the sideline with his fist in the air, going to celebrate with his players. It almost looked like Miami had just won the game with how much he was celebrating.
To be fair, it was a big moment because it would have made it a 17-16 game, giving Ole Miss a better opportunity to take the lead. Carneiro made his second field goal later in the quarter, doinking the ball in this time, so the miss was huge for the Hurricanes.
Buckle up, Hurricanes fans, this game is far from over, and there is a feeling it could be a crazy game in the fourth quarter.
