For the third consecutive game, a critical late replay review occurred in the Miami football game. A play that was initially ruled a fumble on the field was reversed and called an incomplete pass by Cam Ward. Ward's arm was clearly moving forward. The Miami drive continued and the Hurricanes pulled ahead 52-38.

The potential scoop and score would have pulled Louisville within one point with the potential of tying the game or going in front with a two-point conversion. Miami scored two plays after the fumble on a Damian Martinez 30-yard run to put Miami up 52-38. That run essentially iced the game for Miami.

Joe Tessitore and Jordan Rogers calling the game on ABC immediately speculated the call would be reversed. The officials did the right thing allowing the play to continue and then going to replay. Louisville scored a TD on their next drive to pull within 52-45, but Miami recovered the onside kick.

Miami took three consecutive knees to run out the clock and improve to 7-0. The critics of Miami will point to the alleged controversial calls of the last three games. Miami has made the plays the necessary plays to win. Miami head coach Mario Cristobal discussed the play after the win.

""Yeah, they're close calls...that's what replay is for, and they called it right...We end up on some of the wrong side, but we had a first down, when something was reviewed as well, a catch as well...We just gotta keep playing, especially with a team like that that can shoot out with you...regardless of the result of the previous play.""

Miami has had its share of plays go against them this year. Xavier Restepo had a TD called back on Saturday and Isaiah Horton has had a few scores calls backed this season. In a game with 97 points, both teams had multiple opportunities to win the game. Miami has been focused this season and has not allowed one play to affect them.

Miami has survived adversity in its last three wins. On Saturday, Miami took an early 14-point second-half lead. Louisville tied the game with two TDs in 1:07. Overturned calls aside, Miami is 7-0 for the first time since 2017. If there was truly a conspiracy for Miami those calls would never have been in favor of Miami's opponents initially.
