Mario Cristobal facing another 5-star worry at the hands of Mike Elko and Texas A&M

After a loss to the Aggies on the recruiting trail last week, Miami could be looking at the same fate for another highly-rated 5-star recruit.

Miami head coach Mario Cristobal has not had the best time lately on the recruiting trail. After a couple of losses to Notre Dame for two five-star recruits and another loss to Texas A&M for five-star recruit Mark Matthews, Cristobal could see yet another loss soon.

Five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson is in the midst of his recruitment with multiple official visits. It all started with LSU back in April and continues next with a visit to Miami. This will be a big one for the Hurricanes, as some recent comments from Henderson about Texas A&M.

"I know there's going to be stability over there," Henderson said of Texas A&M.

Hendersons is set to have an official visit with the Aggies on June 5, followed by official visits with Ohio State and Notre Dame. It feels like Texas A&M is the leading program here, and Miami could be out another recruit.

Cristobal has built a stellar 2027 recruiting class thus far, but losing out on three five-star recruits in one week is not something any program ever wants. Cristobal has 13 recruits currently committed, but there is still a lot of time to gain more with the heart of the recruiting season coming over the summer.

Mario Cristobal is struggling to find wins on the recruiting trail after hot streak

The month of April and into early May was great for Miami and Cristobal with a flip from Donte Wright, who was committed to Georgia, a commitment from four-star quarterback Israel Abrams, and four-star cornerback Ai'King Hall.

Even with a hot streak on the recruiting trail, Crisotbal has cooled off of late, and it hit hardest when Matthew committed to the Aggies on Friday. Matthews had a similar statement to the one above by Henderson, stating that Texas A&M feels like home away from home, and everything there just feels like home.

Henderson shared similar sentiments, talking about stability at Texas A&M. It has left fans to wonder what recruits are seeing and why they aren't getting that home feeling. Ultimately, they are there to play football, but they also want a place where they can be comfortable.

The race for Henderson, though, is still far from over. With so many official visits coming up, including the one to Miami, Cristobal has the chance to show everything Miami has to offer.
