Drew Williams, a class of 2027 linebacker from Sequoyah High in Canton, Georgia, is down to Oregon, Miami, Kentucky and Florida. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound defender is ranked as the No. 8 linebacker in Georgia by Rivals and has locked in official visits to most of his finalists.

Miami makes final 4 for 2027 linebacker Drew Williams

Williams is a three-star linebacker with a long list of Power Four interest. Miami offered Williams on March 26, Florida followed on April 7 and Oregon offered on April 24 after he visited Eugene.

247Sports gives Williams an 88 rating and ranks him as the No. 44 linebacker and No. 60 player in Georgia. The 247Sports Composite has him as the No. 605 overall player, No. 50 linebacker and No. 72 player in Georgia. Rivals ranks him No. 41 at his position and No. 51 in Georgia.

Williams put up 135 tackles, 87 solo tackles, 10.4 tackles per game, five sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery during the 2025 season. He ranked No. 32 in Georgia in total tackles.

Williams has an official visit to Miami set for June 5, Kentucky on June 12 and Florida on June 19.

The Hurricanes get Williams on campus before Kentucky and Florida, so the staff has a chance to make a solid impression as he goes down the final stretch of his recruitment. The On3/Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Wildcats at 38.2% and Florida second at 22.7%. Miami sits at 4.6%, but those numbers should move quickly once official visits begin. As of right now, it appears to be a wide open race between the final four schools for his services.

Miami’s 2027 class includes defensive pieces such as Donte Wright, Ai'King Hall, safety Jaylyn Jones, cornerback Sherrod Gourdine, defensive lineman Ezekiel Ayangbile, defensive lineman Josh Johnson and linebacker Jayvon Dawson.
